New products
Cradle to cradle certified® Silver rugs
Cradle to Cradle Certified® is the global standard for products that are safe, circular and responsibly made. Balta home is very proud to be the first rug producer in the world to receive the Cradle to Cradle Certified® accreditation for machine-made area rugs..The Cradle to Cradle Certified® label demonstrates our transparency and our ongoing commitment to making a positive impact on people and the planet through our product development and business activities.
Re_generation rugs
In 2020, we created the RE_ GENERATION product line, turning trash into treasure: from plastic bottles to cotton scraps and bits of old leather, they have all been revived, recycled and reinvented as wholly original Balta home rug collections. At least 40% of the pile weight or 100% of the felted backing of our RE_Generation rug originates from recycled material, all QA-CER-certified.
New generation rugs
Balta home not only aims to reuse post- and pre-consumer waste, we also create single material products that are much easier to recycle.
Our New Generation rugs can be machine-washed and tumble-dried, making them practical and durable, while the use of a single material (polypropylene or polyester) means they can be fully and easily recycled.
Even stronger, we launched our first 100% recycled Polyester New Generation Rug called Re_bound.
